Beef & Pork Meatballs

Serves: 4-6
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) ground lean beef
- 250 g (½ lb) ground lean pork
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- ¾ cup soft breadcrumbs salt and black pepper
- ½ teaspoon marjoram
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup (65 ml) beef cube stock
- ¼ cup (65 ml) cream
- 2 tablespoons oil
Recipe
- Combine beef, pork, onion, salt and black pepper and let stand ½ hour. Combine breadcrumbs and stock. Mix these combinations together and add marjoram, egg and cream; mix with hands until smooth. Shape into balls.
- Heat oil in a pan, add meatballs and cook quickly, turning frequently, to brown, reduce heat, cover, and cook for 8-10 minutes; turn, cover, and cook a further 8- 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with green beans and french fried potatoes.
