Beef & Pork Meatballs

Ingredients

  1. 500 g (1 lb) ground lean beef
  2. 250 g (½ lb) ground lean pork
  3. 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  4. ¾ cup soft breadcrumbs salt and black pepper
  5. ½ teaspoon marjoram
  6. 1  egg
  7. ¼ cup (65 ml) beef cube stock
  8. ¼ cup (65 ml) cream
  9. 2 tablespoons oil

Recipe

  1. Combine beef, pork, onion, salt and black pepper and let stand ½ hour. Combine breadcrumbs and stock. Mix these combinations together and add marjoram, egg and cream; mix with hands until smooth. Shape into balls.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add meatballs and cook quickly, turning frequently, to brown, reduce heat, cover, and cook for 8-10 minutes; turn, cover, and cook a further 8- 10 minutes.
  3. Serve hot with green beans and french fried potatoes.
