Veal balls

cooking time: 15 minutes you will need for 4 servings:

Recipe

  • 1 lb. stewing veal
  • 8 oz. boiled potatoes (weight when cooked)
  • 1 medium onion
  • seasoning
  • 1 egg
  • 2 oz. butter or bacon fat
  • ½ pint soured cream OR ½ pint thin cream and 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe

  1. Mince the veal and blend with the mashed potatoes very finely chopped or grated onion, seasoning and egg.
  2. Form into small round balls, then flatten slightly.
  3. Fry in the butter or bacon fat until golden. Add soured cream or cream and lemon juice, and simmer for about 10 minutes.
